Lincoln Avenue Apartment Program

The Lincoln Avenue Apartments were built from the ground up to specifically house people with developmental disabilities.  This beautiful three-story building was constructed with HUD funding in association with EAH Housing, and opened its doors to twelve residents in January 1997. 

Our LAAP program:

• Is a residential program that provides a dignified independent living opportunity for 12 indivuals ages 18 and older
• Is a behavior management program designed to teach independent living and social skills
• Has six 2-bedroom apartments in a modern complex, conveniently located near downtown San Rafael
• Provides opportunities to access and explore community programs and resources
• Teaches program participants to personally manage their own lives, including having utilities in their names and apartment and mailbox keys
• Offers social and recreational activities that promote personal growth and peer interaction
• Is funded by the Department of Developmental Services via the Golden Gate Regional Center system.
