LINCOLN AVENUE APARTMENTS

The Lincoln Avenue Apartments was built from the ground up to specifically house people with developmental disabilities. This beautiful 3-story building was constructed with HUD funding in association with the Ecumenical Association of Housing and opened its doors to 12 individuals in January of 1997. All residents have Section 8 housing, thus their rents are very affordable.

• A residential program providing a very dignified independent living opportunity for 12 people with developmental disabilities
  
• A behavior management program designed to teach independent living and social skills.
  
• A beautiful, modern apartment complex, conveniently located near downtown San Rafael
  
• Six, 2-bedroom apartments situated in a secure 3-story building
  
• Opportunities to explore and access community programs and resources.
  
• Six Independent Living Skills Counselors, one live-in site manager, and a full time Residential Coordinator provide the necessary skills training.
  
• All individuals learn to personally manage their own lives including having utilities in their names; apartment and mailbox keys; and access to the coded security front door
