Marjorie has been with the NOVA program for 6 years and we’ve enjoyed each moment, including every strawberry milkshake she’s slurped.

Quiet, focused, attention to detail, great sense of humor, and dedicated to her job are just a few of the words expressed when others speak of Marjorie.   When she’s assisting in a paid job, she’s our best worker.  Her careful consideration to accuracy and precision is unparalleled.  She will stoically sit with work in front of her and perform the tasks with the grace and talent of an orchestra’s conductor. 

Marjorie is also an artist.  Her colorful drawings and paintings, as well as her ability to create art, are the reasons she participated in the “Together We Are Better” art project.  She possesses a keen capacity to sit for hours and plan, organize, and assemble a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle. 

It is not uncommon to see Ms. Cole entertain multiple suitors.  We think she likes to be adored. 

Marjorie says she’s ready to “try out” the STEP program.  She will begin by participating one to two days per week, getting to know the other individuals and staff associated with this program.  If she likes it, and we all feel she will benefit from the “promotion”, she may be in a new program by fall.

In the meantime, don’t change a thing Marjorie.
